Just some Random pictures from February:

Parker does running club at school.  The Skyline High School students hosted a track meet for the elementary school kids.  Parker had so much fun.  He partcipated in the 100, 200, and the mile.  It was a great opportunity for the kids to get a little glimpse of what track meets are like.

The kids love sleeping all together in Cassie's room. 

Parker signed up for an exercise program at school where he has to exercise 1 hr. every day for the month of February.  He's been very diligent.  Those who complete the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a wii or an ipod.  Parker's always willing to work as hard as necessary when there's a possible reward in sight. :)

Dallin loves watching the Olympic speed skating.  While we were watching it one evening, he came out in this great speed skating outfit.  He loved "speed skating" around the kitchen in his socks!

Presidents Day Fun!!

I love these Monday holidays! I love having a day devoted to just fun…no work or school.  On Monday morning, Uncle Matt dropped by our house to give the kids rides on his new scooter! Awesome!!

After lunch we took the kids to see “The Princess and the Frog” at the Dollar movies, came home for a short nap and then took off for an evening at Usery Park.  While we were driving around looking for a place to set up, we saw that my brother James and his family were there!! Woohoo!! So we decided to crash their little party. :)  They had already hiked up the mountain, so James & Jolene got the fire pit going while we took a hike up the mountain.

 

 

 

We are so lucky to live so close to such beauty! My favorite is the Superstition Mountains.  I love that we have such a great view of it from where we live…I admire it’s beauty every day!

 

 

Yay! We made it to the top of the mountain…okay, it wasn’t a very big mountain, but we did it nonetheless!

It was a perfect night for a desert outing.  The skies were clear and beautiful and the weather was perfect.  I don’t know why we don’t do this more often, especially considering that we are only 10 minutes away!

Dallin’s 1st Field trip

Dallin went on his first field trip last week.  He was more excited about riding the school bus than anything else!

 

We went to the Phoenix Children’s Museum.  I’ve never been there before.  It was a great museum…so many fun things to do!
